A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Kathy has always been driven by a commitment to service and community engagement. Growing up, she accompanied her mother to various charity events at local group homes, which instilled in her a strong desire to give back. Her volunteer efforts include supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank, participating in church fundraisers, and contributing to initiatives such as the Multiple Sclerosis Walk and Hurricane Katrina relief. Kathy has also been actively involved in fundraising activities with her mother, including charity walks and organizing Christmas shopping sprees for low-income children, as well as volunteering at nursing homes.
Kathy pursued a career as a Massage Therapist while working towards her aspiration of co-founding Dream Academy with her husband, Fikile. This endeavor allows her to merge her passion for service with a focus on enhancing the academic and skill development of underprivileged youth in underserved communities in Botswana. As President of Dream Academy, she drives the organization’s growth through effective operational management, partnership development, and strategic fundraising initiatives
